Greetings to our beloved patrons and fellow food enthusiasts,
There’s an old saying in Vietnamese that food is the heart of a culture. With this in mind, I launched Yelo HTX in Katy Asian Town back in 2020. I aimed to share the heart of Vietnamese culture, the authentic taste of our beloved homeland, with Texas’ vibrant community.
From day one, we were more than a restaurant. Yelo HTX was a home where memories were created, stories were shared, and a sense of community was fostered. We became a staple in the local dining scene, revered for our unique flavors and genuine Vietnamese dishes. However, life has a peculiar way of unfolding, and our journey took an unexpected turn.

As some of you may already know, Yelo HTX has ceased its operations as a physical restaurant. But in the face of adversity, we saw an opportunity. Instead of saying goodbye, we chose to evolve and continue our journey, albeit in a different form.
Today, I’m thrilled to share with you that our restaurant’s website (https://yelohtx.com/) has now become a platform where I share my love for Vietnamese cuisine in a new way. I’ve decided to dedicate this space to our loyal customers and Vietnamese food enthusiasts alike, who can now bring a piece of Yelo HTX into their own kitchens.
My blog shares not only traditional Vietnamese recipes but also insights into our rich culinary heritage, cooking techniques, and tips to master these dishes at home. This is our way of ensuring the spirit of Yelo HTX lives on, continuing to spread the joy of Vietnamese cuisine.
We may no longer be physically located in Katy Asian Town, but our mission to celebrate and share Vietnamese culinary tradition is still as strong as ever. I’d like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and invite you to join me on this exciting new culinary journey.
Remember, we are more than just a brand or a restaurant; we are a community, we are Yelo HTX.
Thank you, Alex Au-Yeung.
